90.5 replaces the former 91.1
Why Are Frequencies changing?
All of GoldRush Radio's AM and FM licences expired on 2 April 2011 and new 20-year licences started from that date.
However, as this was a one-in-20 year chance to fix up any interference or inefficient use of spectrum issues, the Radio Spectrum Management division of MED required some frequencies to change.
There will be about 250 frequency changes across the country and 3 will affect GoldRush Radio's FM frequencies.
Most of the changes took place between April and November 2010.
