GoldRush1440 broadcasts from the 1000-watt AM transmitter at Evan’s Flat near Lawrence in Otago transmitting on 1440 AM to cover a large part of Otago and Southland during daytime and the majority of the South Island in the hours of dusk & darkness with a format of music programming that is a spread of hits from the sixties/seventies through to the present day. Specialist music programmes for the target audience, which complement the main music mix, are broadcast, mostly in non-daytime. The station is music-led, with information and features of particular relevance to the target audience an important ingredient.
